DASSM Exam Preparation Guide

The examinations for DASM and DASSM are very PMI-ique (if I may use that word). What I mean is that the exams are neither easy nor tough. You require to put a certain amount of effort post your training for sure. And this is particularly true who are new to the Agile world.

The DASSM certification becomes tougher, in my opinion, for people who directly take the DASSM certification and at the same time, do not have strong Agile knowledge. We do offer a Disciplined Agile Knowledge check and depending on the score and assessment, we offer them a Disciplined Agile Foundation course. This helps participants to uncover some basic concepts on Agility as well as on Disciplined Agile.

With the DASM examination, we have a 100% rate so far and most of them barring 1 student have cleared in the 1st attempt. However, the DASSM exam is trickier as it has more situational questions on Agility. We have an almost 100% record of passing the DASSM examination (although the DASSM is very new) but more than 50% had to take a re-examination to clear the DASSM certification. Currently, PMI is giving the participant the option for 3 free re-takes within a month for Disciplined Agile certifications. And this is proving to be beneficial for particularly the DASSM examination.

PROCESS TO GET PMI’S DISCIPLINED AGILE CERTIFICATION

Step 1: Understand the pre-requisites.

Some agile experience is required – this is a training and certification built to educate and test you on agile and lean fundamentals and the Disciplined Agile tool kit with skills to immediately apply what you have learned.

Step 2: Register for the training & Enrol with the PMI’s ATP partner.

You will then need to take a 2-day training from a PMI Authorized Training Partner (ATP). Your certification fees are included in your training fees.

Step 3: Register to DASSM via your ATP.

Once you complete your 2-day training with ATP, the ATP will ask for some of your details and submit the same to Disciplined Agile. Within 3-4 days or so, you will receive an email from the DA consortium (DAC) about your account being successfully created and some additional tips and tools to clear DA exam, along with info on DA certification roadmap.

As the certification fees are included with tuition fees, you will receive a CODE which you can use to take your exam, without any additional payment. This code is unique for each enrolment and usable ONCE ONLY. You will be charged the retest fee of $150 USD for each additional attempt.

You will also receive a “Certificate of Completion” from PMI and DAC, as you have successfully completed the 2-day training workshop.

Step 4: Taking the test

In the mail which DAC sends as mentioned above, you will receive a PDF which will have the test link for the exam.

A basic requirement is to ensure the pop-up blocker is turned off for your browser. The DASM test is 50 questions with a 90-minute time limit. You must achieve 70% to pass the test. Upon passing the test, within 5 business days, your CDA designation should appear on your profile.

Before taking the final test, its always best to make sure you are ready for the exam. You can use ProMock mock test for DASSM (Disciplined Agile Senior Scrum Master) to verify your preparation level for the actual exam.

DASSM exam simulator offers you real exam type questions curated by experts to help to clear certification exam in the first attempt. The questions closely resemble to actual questions asked in the exam, also the mock test simulator for DASSM shows you detailed analysis of your results to help you better understand which topics you need to rework and prepare well before actual exam.
